BIO
Loren Coleman has more than two decades of integrated communications and marketing experience as a strategic social impact consultant, nonprofit senior leader, and veteran of global public relations firms.

She has helped lead campaign and partnership development for major nonprofit accounts for a top social impact and cause marketing firm, including CARE International, Teach for America, The Humane Society of the United States and Wounded Warrior Project, as well as corporate social responsibility research and initiatives for blue chip companies. Her work with corporate foundations has included increasing employee engagement for NCR Foundation and launching Libra Group’s private foundation, Libra Philanthropies, where she also supported strategic communications for several nonprofits founded by Libra.
Prior to starting her own consultancy, Loren served as head of marketing and communications for Action for Healthy Kids, supporting the nonprofit’s mission to advance health and education equity nationwide and executing a rebrand followed by a complex strategic shift during the pandemic.
Loren combines her corporate experience in consumer packaged goods, consumer health and health tech with her cause work across a range of social issues – including education equity, women’s and children’s health and well-being, food access, animal welfare, and diversity in entrepreneurship – to help companies, foundations and nonprofits maximize their social impact. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston University and a master’s degree from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy with a concentration in Agriculture, Food & Environment. Loren lives in South Florida with her husband (the runner shown above) and their dog. She is active in the Palm Beach County social impact community as a member of Impact the Palm Beaches and Nonprofits First and as a volunteer with Friends of Manatee Lagoon.
WORK
Just a Taste
CAMPAIGNS
I worked with For Momentum to lead the development of the More Than a Pet campaign for Humane Society of the United States. Created to raise awareness of the value of pet companionship regardless of socioeconomic or geographic barriers, the campaign helped HSUS attract new sponsors, generated 300K+ earned media impressions, and raised more than $1.5M in financial and in-kind contributions to help pets and people living in poverty.
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
I worked with the NCR Foundation to create a virtual campaign -- Road Trip for Good -- to educate NCR employees worldwide about the Foundation in order to more deeply engage them in the work. The holiday campaign featured a series of videos and emails and a quiz (plus prizes) to test employee knowledge. This top performing employee engagement campaign exceeded goals, generating 4,800 video views and nearly 3,000 quiz completions, and doubled subscribers to the Foundation's intranet page.
SPECIAL REPORTS
This lead-generation report for Action for Healthy Kids showcases how companies, including the organization's sponsors, are making a difference for kids.
REBRAND AND WEBSITE DESIGN
I led the rebranding of Action for Healthy Kids, which included a full brand identity analysis, new logo, complete suite of designed materials, strategic messaging, and a website redesign.
VIDEO: TEAM HEALTHY KIDS
This was one of my favorite videos to produce for fundraising and recruiting runners for Team Healthy Kids. It features the inspiring story of a young man who committed to improving his life through health and fitness while also benefitting Action for Healthy Kids.
BETIME WITH GOGO SQUEEZ
I produced a series of videos with GoGo squeeZ to highlight their partnership with Action for Healthy Kids to transform spaces in high-need schools into inspiring areas for kids to play, learn and grow.
MEDIA RELATIONS
I conducted strategic media relations, both reactive and proactive, to communicate about the impact of Action for Healthy Kids and the stories of the many tireless champions who helped drive the mission in their own communities. This US News & World Report article about improving school meals featured our CEO, Colorado state coordinator, and one of our local parent volunteers in rural Colorado.
MEDIA RELATIONS
USA Today included an Action for Healthy Kids senior executive and R.D. in an article offering advice to parents on raising healthy eaters.
